Bring Animal Control Officer Angel Reese Back!

Bring Animal Control Officer Angel Reese Back!
The Issue
ACO Angel Reese was a City of Pittsburgh Animal Control Officer who was terminated Dec. 2, 2016 for lost of equipment. ACO Angel Reese has took iniative and offered to replace all of the items she mistakenly lost. ACO Angel Reese has been a great help to the community and City of Pittsburgh residents helping find lost pets, advertising animals available for adoption through the Animal Rescue League, and even helped rescue the 200+ animal from the home on Bayridge in Brooklone. ACO Angel Reese loved her position as an Animal Control Officer and it is her passion and career goal to rescue animals and enlightening the community about resources and information on the rabies vaccination. ACO Angel Reese is part of many Lost and Found Dog groups in Pittsburgh and has helped reunite dogs with their owners. ACO Angel Reese visited the South side Dog Park daily and other various dog parks in City of Pittsburgh and helped rebuild and restore good relationships with pet owners and give them information on what happens to their if they are found by Animal Control. ACO Angel Reese invested her life into her work and it was always shown. In the picture posted above ACO Angel Reese and her partner received a call about several puppies and their mother living under a mans deck. ACO Angel Reese rushed to the back of the house to see the mother dog barking viciously and attempting to attack ACO Angel Reese and her partner. ACO Angel Reese controlled poled the mother and safely put her in the truck. Searching for about 2-3 minutes the couldnt see or hear the puppies. It was then when ACO Angel Reese seen that they were "hidden" underneath the deck and sleeping. ACO Angel Reese quickly crawled on her stomach to retrieve these puppies and get them into the truck safely. If you know or would ever just happen to meet ACO Angel Reese she would tell you about dream job as Animal Control Officer and some of her rewarding experiences. As a and young only African American Animal Control Officer she was very dedicated to her job and would ANYTHING for safety and well being of not only the animals but the public as well. This petition was made in order to show Director of Public Safety Wendall Hissrich the good ACO Angel Reese has done and that she is needed in the community.
