Pegasus Group - Planning Consultants already ended their public consultation on this!!!

Today I have been sent a copy of a letter from Pegasus Group (a Planning Consultancy) to local residents, which has apparently been sent out to those 'affected' regarding the proposal of the mast installation. I am very worried about this, as it appears that Wembury Parish Council may have already made up their mind!!. The Pegasus Group will be putting the case forward to South Hams District Council regarding planning consent for the mast and floodlighting. The letter says that the consultation period ends on 17th November! The letter also shows in a plan on the back page that the mast will be over the MUGA, next to the skate park, not next to the proposed pavilion site as previously suggested by a Wembury Parish Councillor. I am not aware to what extent this letter was circulated, although, Cllr Doug Packer has told me that Leyford Close have had letters!? But Wembury Primary School have confirmed they have not received any formal communication yet and definitely some of the residents in Barton Brake had not been formally communicated with yet either. This level of 'Pubilc Consultation' so far is not acceptable. I hope that this will be resolved very shortly, and a period of consultation will be set that allow all those affected (not just immediate residents) to express their views/concerns. There is currently an argument in favour of the mast, on the grounds that the radiation will be the same as your home WiFi. However, whilst the frequency of the transmissions is similar, the output can be up to 100 times higher! As well as that, whilst our children are subjected to the radiation from the school/preschools WiFi, having a mast there as well, means the affects are cumulative! So we could be more than doubling the exposure they would have being at home with your Wifi on!! Wembury Parish Council will be having a meeting on 28th November to consider this issue. I feel that the only hope we have for this location to be reconsidered on the grounds of public opinion/health concerns etc, is to get as many people as possible who have concerns to attend the meeting. Although in discussions with a councillor, there currently appears to be no other locations which are deemed suitable?!? If this is the case, whilst there are some dead spots in the signal, and there is no signal at the beach, which is a concern being raised, it should be recognised that there is a telephone box very close to the beach and emergency calls are free. There is also now a Defibrillator Device on the beach, and both the Cafe and Marine Centre have landline phones. To help support this campaign, it would be great if as many people as possible could formally write to Wembury Parish Council and maybe even our Local MP Gary Streeter to put forward our objections as well.
