Thank you for supporting our 2019 campaign to stop the housing developments by Singlers Marsh.

Although that campaign was successful at the time, the threat has re-emerged in the past six months, including also putting a new road through the Singlers Marsh itself.

A Singlers Marsh Action Group has been formed by concerned local people, and an application to register Singlers Marsh as an official Village Green is now in progress.  If this is successful, it will go a long way towards preserving it for future generations.

If you have not already done so, you can support the application by completing a questionnaire that shows how people have been using the land as a public space in recent years.  The questionnaire can be downloaded from https://bit.ly/SinglersMarshQ

Completed questionnaires can be scanned and returned by email to save@singlersmarsh.org.uk, or else (if you are near Welwyn) they can be physically returned to one of the following locations:

• Danesbury Charity Shop (Welwyn High Street)

• Welwyn Parish Council (Lockleys Drive, Welwyn)
• Mardley Stores (Oaklands)
• Deli Stop (Welwyn North Station)
