Why do they call it the Weeping Time?

On March 2nd and 3rd 1859, the largest sale of slaves in American history took place in Savannah, Ga. Four hundred and twenty nine were sold in a two day period. It started raining when they sold the first slave and abruptly stopped when they sold the last. They said it was if God was crying, therefore they called it the weeping time.
