Today a speeding car killed a cat. Somebody’s pet. They didn’t stop and left residents to deal with the poor mortally wounded baby. What happens if it’s not a cat next time?

Last week another speeding driver collided with a bin lorry at the junction of Heybourne and Lanacre. Thankfully nobody was hurt, but had there been pedestrians nearby it could have been different. It was early morning; just an hour later and the roads would have been full of children making their way to school.

More homes being built means more cars. Straight roads and no enforcement means cars being driven dangerously and with impunity. We need 20mph enforced and our small side roads not to be used as thoroughfares by dangerous drivers.
