I have two important messages today. First, President Trump is getting desperate. In his interview last week with NBC's Lester Holt, he said he had sent a certified copy of a letter from his attorneys to Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who had expressed interest in his business dealings with Russia. Trump claimed that the letter, “from one of the most prestigious law firms in the country,” demonstrated “that I have nothing to do with Russia.” “I have a certified letter, just so you understand,” Mr. Trump said. “I’m not just saying that.” The carefully worded letter, which claims that Trump has minimal business ties to Russia, is insane and absolutely meaningless without proof. We need Trump's tax returns to see what's really going on.
