Thank you to everyone who hit the streets on Saturday to protest Trump’s unprecedented refusal to release his tax returns. Over 125,000 people marched, in more than 200 communities nationwide, demanding transparency from our president. Many of you even handed out signs promoting this petition in cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia and even Honolulu. At 6:07am Trump tweeted: "I did what was an almost impossible thing to do for a Republican-easily won the Electoral College! Now Tax Returns are brought up again?" He followed that up with a tweet at 6:13am: "Someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over!" Newsflash, Mr. President. We marched because we’re patriots, and your refusal to release your taxes can only mean one thing. You have something to hide. His proposed reforms could be designed to benefit him, his family and corporations rather than the working people of the United States.
