HS2 is not wanted by any of the towns, villages, communities whose countryside and woodlands it is destroying. It is a total failure of democracy and wasting vast sums of tax payers money. It needs to be halted and rethought. There are better transport solutions out there. We want a proper independent enquiry into whether or not HS2:

Is value for the tax payers money?

Whether it is wanted by the electorate and the people in the Counties who are suffering its impact ?

And whether the ecological damage, particularly the destruction of 38 Ancient woodlands and wildlife habitats, can really be justified especially during a climate crisis.
