We need your help submitting our petition on Tuesday, August 18th at 7:00PM

When dozens of people showed up for the six-hour February 3rd Woodstock, IL city council meeting where a second contract with Flock Safety was approved 4-3, Mayor Michael Turner dismissed us as "the loudest voices in the room" and took away our voice saying "you elect us to represent you, we make decisions and we have to move on."

Thirty-one people from all walks of life spoke out that night, only to be told and treated as though we weren't representative of the people of Woodstock. Since then, we've been out engaging with and educating the community about the dangers of Flock Safety and their products. Today, our petition to get Flock Safety out of Woodstock, IL has more than 1,400 signatures. In a town of 25,500 people, we believe those signatures make it harder than ever to dismiss our concerns as merely "the loudest voices in the room." This is a significant part of our community saying very clearly that we do not want this.

So, we need your help. We are submitting this petition at the next Woodstock city council meeting this upcoming Tuesday, August 18th at 7:00PM, currently slated to take place in the city council chambers on the 2nd floor of city hall, 121 W Calhoun St. We've notified the mayor, city council and the city manager's office of our intention to exceed the room's capacity, in order to give them plenty of time to move the meeting to a larger venue. If the venue does change, look for updates here and at our website.

Spread the word. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your enemies. If there's one thing we've learned while talking directly with citizens, visitors, market vendors and small business owners over the last 6 months, it's that this is an issue we all agree on, and we the people demand to be heard.
