[We're truly honored to pass along here (right under this paragraph) a mailer that is circulating right now. It's the work of Atlanta Israel Coalition, an exceptionally dynamic grassroots organization under the passionate leadership of executive director Cheryl Feingold Dorchinsky.  By contrast with some of those holding senior posts at America's often-lavishly-resourced national Jewish organizations, Cheryl - a paragon of high-energy engagement with issues that matter - actually leads.  It's a privilege to watch her at work.]

Americans Murdered by Terrorists and the Fight for Accountability

On August 9, 2001, a fifteen-year-old American girl named Malki Roth was murdered in the bombing of a Jerusalem pizzeria. The woman who chose that target — a restaurant she selected because it was full of families and children — was convicted and sentenced to sixteen life terms. She served just eight years. A hostage deal set her free. Today she lives openly and free in Jordan, out of reach of an American indictment and US federal prosecutors. She is the only woman currently designated as FBI Most Wanted Terrorist, and there is a US government five-million-dollar reward for her arrest.

Malki's story is not rare. It is a pattern and it is still running.

Join the Atlanta Israel Coalition, the Rhode Island Coalition for Israel and our partner organizations for an honest conversation with the families and survivors who have lived inside that pattern for years — and with the attorney working to break it:

  • Tal Hartuv — The tour guide who was hiking beside Kristine that day. Stabbed more than a dozen times and left for dead, she survived, walked more than a kilometer for help. She has become a leading voice against the payments that reward her attackers. One of them was freed in the 2025 Gaza hostage deal.
  • Arnold Roth — His daughter Malki, an American citizen, was murdered at the age of 15 in the 2001 Sbarro bombing. He has devoted years to getting her killer extradited from Jordan (that’s what the treaty requires) to face American justice.
  • Kathleen Luken — Her identical twin sister, Kristine, an American, was stabbed to death on a hiking trail near Beit Shemesh in December 2010.
  • Mark Goldfeder — Constitutional law attorney and CEO of the National Jewish Advocacy Center who is taking the financiers and enablers of terror into American courtrooms.

When a convicted murderer of Americans walks free in a hostage deal, what does justice require next — and who is going to deliver it?

We will talk about the cost of hostage deals without pretending the answer is to abandon hostages.

We will talk about extradition, about the laws that already let American families fight back, and about what accountability looks like when a government will not act.

The webinar is set for Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 7:00 pm US Eastern Time. (If you're in Israel, that will be Friday morning, July 17, 2026 at 2:00 am. And in Sydney/Melbourne, it's Friday morning, July 17, 2026 at 9:00 am)

Free and open to all (but you do need to register in advance) and live on Zoom.  Audience Q&A follows the panel.
