Petition supporters:  On October 16 Chairman Jeff McKay and Supervisors of districts receiving service directed the Department of Public Waste & Environmental Service (DPWES) to withdraw the proposed termination of the vacuum leaf collection program in order to give DPWES more time for interactions with the communities affected to discuss changes to the leaf service. 

The Board of Supervisors will not be holding a public hearing this fall and the service will be provided this winter and next winter, at least. 

Currently it is our understanding that DPWES plans to resubmit this proposal to end vacuum service next year. 

We urge everyone to sign this petition and contact your Supervisor telling them you support this program, you do not want want it ended, and you are willing to continue to pay for its operation.
