I would like to invite you to an important event that marks the beginning of a potential national conversation built around one shared purpose: the need to rethink the Mental Health Narrative Together for the next twenty years and the dangers of not doing so. This campaign has been created by Synolos and by myself, shaped through years of work in education, wellbeing, and lived experience and by the growing need for clarity in how our country talks about mental health.

Our Oxfordshire launch, hosted and run by Synolos, will take place on Friday, 6 March 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Langdale Hall, Witney, and you are warmly welcome to join us. This campaign begins here in Witney with the hope, with the right support, to move across the country and spark a clearer and more compassionate national conversation. It aims to protect everything achieved over the last twenty years of mental health awareness while recognising that the narrative must now evolve. It also brings us back to what it means to be human, with emotions that deserve understanding in a world that often feels confusing and overwhelming, and with the belief that not all emotions are illnesses, but every emotion should be heard.

The evening will include the first public screening of the campaign video, followed by a presentation from me about why a clearer and more grounded mental health narrative is needed now more than ever. Afterwards there will then be time for questions and conversation. For those who are interested, there will also be a fundraising book signing for my new book, On The Edge – The Mental Health Confusion, with all proceeds supporting young people through Synolos.

Synolos created this campaign because we believe the country now needs a renewed understanding of mental health that protects those living with serious illness while helping everyone express emotion with confidence and compassion.

If you can join us in person, it would mean a great deal. If you cannot attend physically, the event will also be live streamed, so you can still be part of the evening and the conversation. Links will be provided, but still book on the Eventbrite link below or find us on Facebook.
