NO ONE WANTS WAR, ARE WE STILL GOING TO LET THAT HAPPEN?

It is a sad indictment of this regime's blatant disregard for human dignity and autonomy that North Korean soldiers found in Ukraine did not know they were being sent to war. It is so disturbing to see how any government can manipulate its citizens into conflicts far away from their homeland under false pretenses. Those men, perhaps deceived by illusions of gaining opportunity or serving their country, were thrust into a war in a foreign land to which they never gave consent, nor were they well aware. Such actions are clear violations of human rights since the soldiers are deprived of self-agency and treated as pawns in a geopolitical game. The actions of North Korea amplify systemic manipulation and control by the regime, placing the political agenda ahead of the well-being and safety of its citizens.

This exploitation underlines the urgent need for international attention and action to address not only the oppressive practices of this regime but the broader humanitarian crisis affecting the North Korean population. No government should be given the grounds or allowed to weaponize its people through deception; the world community must stand shoulder to shoulder for such injustice.
