Dear Friends:

We're almost to 1,000 signatures on our petition to make PrEP affordable for all Americans at high risk of HIV infection. We need to double our efforts and gain momentum so we're ready to get this to the soon to be democratic chaired health committee. We have a shot at achieving something monumental in terms of HIV prevention policy. The NHS in the UK is being strongly lobbied, and our own CDC advocates for PrEP as the best way to cut the rate of new HIV infections and save millions of lives, as well as the economic cost of treating HIV disease as opposed to preventing it. Read and pass on the article below to at least 5 friends to help them understand the significance of this breakthrough and our need to ACT NOW! I know there are a lot of other issues our country faces now. We're bombarded by life & death issues, especially during the holidays-- this isn't asking anyone for more charitable giving. It's reminding people that HIV/AIDS is preventable now through education & BREAKTHROUGH PROPHYLACTIC DRUGS! In 1981 this would have been seen as a miracle. It would have saved millions of lives. We can save lives now if we ACT UP and focus on the policies that we are passionate about. Please spread the word and help us cut through (equally important political & humanitarian needs) and make a difference. We can save millions of lives, simply, by signing this petition and getting it to congress in January, 2019.
