On or about August 2018, a loud and pervasive noise emanating from the Duke Point area began during the day and through various nights (typically Sunday to Friday). The continuous and offensive noise has caused a major disruption to those in the Nanaimo Harbour area including but not limited to affecting our sleep patterns which can lead to many health issues. We request that the City of Nanaimo, under whose jurisdiction the noise emanates from, protect the health and welfare of the affected citizens by ensuring the purveyor of the noise either mitigates such noise and/or adjusts their operation and/or hours of operation so as not to affect the citizens of Nanaimo during the hours of 9 pm to 7 am.  Numb the Hum Nanaimo.
