Additionally, we have officially joined forces with ACORN Canada (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now).
They're an organization made of up tenants and workers that has been fighting for a national rent freeze, plus a freeze on all high interest loan payments, free internet for people in the low income measure, and an end to NSFs until the WHO declares the pandemic over.
They've been fighting for social and economic reform since before the pandemic, but since COVID hit they have had their own movement on the national scale, advocating for housing security and more.
