We hope to see you tonight in Peterborough with the CBC to learn about the Openroom.ca service and the Auto-Evict petition.
I know it’s very short notice but we only learned late Friday afternoon that CBC will be interviewing Weiting Bollu, president of Openroom.ca on Tuesday, April 9/24 when she does her presentation to the Peterborough Landlords Association (PLA).
CBC also asked whether the author of the auto-evict petition would be present so I said I’d make the two-hour trip to attend in case they had any questions. The Peterborough Landlords Association then asked me to do a 1-hour presentation on the petition, to which I agreed.
I’ve received confirmations from housing providers attending tonight who will be travelling from North Bay, Barrie, Mississauga, Belleville, downtown Toronto, Guelph, Kitchener, Vaughan, Port Perry, Markham and Courtice.
There is no remote viewing (eg Zoom) capability at this event.
It goes without saying (although I’m obviously still saying it), the more people who attend, the better it will appear in any CBC media coverage.
