Maple Avenue has always been a vital artery in our town. Many residents, including myself, rely on it for quick and direct access to the Sussex Health Center, local doctors' offices, and the highway. Recently, however, our community has been significantly impacted due to the closure of the Maple Avenue Bridge. This closure has not only made it difficult for us to reach essential medical services swiftly, but it has also caused considerable inconvenience for commuters and has disrupted the day-to-day lives of all residents.

The bridge is a crucial link in our infrastructure and serves as a primary route for emergency services, connecting residents with urgent medical care and facilitating rapid response times. Delays in accessing medical services can be life-threatening, especially for those with chronic conditions or urgent medical needs. The lack of a direct rout toe to the health center exacerbates the stress and anxiety of those who find themselves in need of care.

Our town deserves better. Until a permanent repair is underway, there needs to be an immediate, temporary solution to restore safe access across the bridge. We call upon local authorities, including the Sussex Department of Transportation and relevant municipal agencies, to prioritize this issue and implement a temporary structure or alternative route that ensures the safety and efficiency of travel for everyone in our community.

Additionally, transparent communication regarding the progress of repairs and any measures taken is essential. The residents of our town should be informed about the timeline for a permanent solution and how the authorities plan to address the current inconvenience faced by thousands of daily commuters.

By signing this petition, you are calling for urgent action to secure immediate temporary access and to assure that such an essential aspect of our town's infrastructure is restored as soon as possible. Let's stand together for the safety and well-being of all Sussex residents. Please sign this petition to support our cause and demand immediate action.
