I have recieved an email from the Dutch Ministers of Foreign and this is what they've said: Greetings Thobeka Thank you for your email of 19 June to the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in which you asked to be officially informed about the Dutch views on Vision 2030, in light of the country’s methods to further this economic agenda. I can inform you as follows. The Netherlands shares your concerns about the human rights situation in Saudi Arabia and raises these concerns regularly in bilateral meetings (at the highest levels) and multilateral forums. At the same time, the Netherlands views the targets set forth in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 diversification program as a roadmap to a more sustainable economy and more transparent society. Economic liberalization will benefit the Saudi population and should ultimately provide more space for dialogue and diverging opinions. The Dutch view, that a vibrant and dynamic society as envisioned in Vision 2030 is not possible without allowing space for dialogue and critical reflection, is consistently raised with the Saudi authorities.
