Our Petition Continues

Friends we are almost 1500 signatures strong, I am hopeful we will have more signatures to press our cause especially in these last critical days before the election. Yesterday I watched as Virginia Trioli attacked Adam Bandt on preference deals whilst ignoring any policy issues the Greens are progressing. I watched as Barnaby Joyce was allowed to dismiss concerns from Tony Windsor about attack adds questioning his fidelity and as the day progressed the headline became the Nationals dismiss Windsor's complaint over attack ad as faux outrage. I am yet to see the Sex Party, Democratic Labour Party, Animal Justice Party given any opportunity to participate in the electoral debate. All of these parties have a sitting member in a state parliament. I have witnessed panellists openly laughing at some micro party candidates in a derogatory and dismissive manner. Our issues are not only about the concentration of favourable commentary and support of the Coalition, its about fair representation for all. No one wants favourable treatment for any candidate or party, just balanced, well researched interrogation of the facts. We have not had a response from the ABC at the time of writing.
