14 May 2016 — K5 has now been approved by APVMA for use in Australia and as we now know that the current vaccine does not give us enough efficacy for K5 and we also have RHDV2 at epidemic stage,, WE are now seeking to have a new vaccine developed here in Australia. This vaccine would cover all three strains,, The RHDV v 351, our existing strain, the newly approved K5 strain, and the RHDV2 which is now an epidemic in Australia.... We have a speciality vaccine laboratory at the ready. If of course this does not eventuate ,we will then proceed with our pursuit of Filovac from France....We are excited about the prospect of having all 3 covered and as it would be made here would probably be available in a shorter time frame as it has less paper work involved. This is however still in the negotiation stage. We are very optimistic that our new direction will lead us to a very favourable outcome.
