I have just heard that the LPT laboratory in Mienenbüttel will shut down in February!

According to information from SOKO Tierschutz, LPT will close the animal testing laboratory in Mienenbüttel. Studies that are currently still in progress will be finished, but after that the location will finally be shut down completely! 

THAT’S AMAZING NEWS!! I am crying tears of joy at the moment!! 

Nevertheless, LPT still exists at two other locations. Experiments on rabbits and rats will continue in these locations. SOKO: 

“The site is dissolved and no new animal experiments on monkeys, dogs or cats performed.

Instead, they want to focus on animal experiments on rats, mice and rabbits at the sites in Neugraben and Löhndorf. The tactic is clear, the LPT hopes that the resistance in these animals will be weaker.

We call on the LPT and the authorities to hand over the dogs, cats and monkeys caged in Mienenbüttel to animal welfare and to enable them to live a life of happiness and self-determination for some of those animals who have suffered there for years.”.
