Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is an adventure beat 'em up spin-off of the Mortal Kombat franchise and a retelling of the events of Mortal Kombat II, where you play as Liu Kang and Kung Lao in either single player or co-op gameplay as they are tasked to defend Earthrealm from the likes of Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, and other enemies from Outworld. You can also play as Scorpion and Sub-Zero, but I think you can only unlock them using cheat codes, and in cutscenes, it's basically the same story, and unfortunately, they didn’t even try to change the voices or what they say, and they’d be called either Liu Kang or Kung Lao. Pretty lazy, I know. I'm thinking that we might need WB and NRS to remake Shaolin Monks and make Shaolin Monks 2: Fire & Ice. Shaolin Monks 2 should be a retelling of the events of Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Both the remake AND the sequel should have a campaign for Liu Kang and Kung Lao, and a campaign for Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
