A baby whale was caught in the nets this morning in QLD. Fortunately, it was freed hours later.

This is a sad but timely reminder of the trauma and damage this outdated bather protection program causes. 

Please share our petition on your social media pages to help us reach the hearts and minds of people who through no fault of their own think that the shark nets are barriers that keep us safe.

For those that may ask why are we focusing on Bondi - there are national initiatives to pressure QLD and NSW to remove the nets but we want to gather support behind Waverley council’s decision to vote against the nets. Local pressure will force the issue and Bondi could be the first domino to fall that unravels this chain of stupidity.
