Petition against the building of a Private Care Home and accommodation block on The Paddock Field, Knowle Lane.

We are against the building of a private care home and accommodation block for the following reasons:

Overdevelopment of the land.

The residents of John Whiskar Drive will not only be overlooked and lose their privacy, they will be affected by noise and light pollution. 

The proposed development is not beneficial to the local community. 

Loss of green space and wildlife habitat.

We do not need another private care home when there is one a few hundred yards away that already has planning permission for an extra 25 beds. 

Extra traffic entering and exiting onto a narrow stretch of road which will be even more dangerous once the housing development opposite is completed.

The junction with the high street is already hazardous to enter and exit.

Insufficient footpath from Knowle Lane Junction to the Paddock field with no pedestrian crossing points.
