Today George Floyd Memorial Rally (UPDATE RALLY POSTPONED)

Waterbury City Hall (12pm-2pm)

• "Demand Body Cams, Police Reforms and the Removal of Christopher Columbus Statue from City Hall Over Mayors Resistance in the City of Waterbury. All activist organizations are welcome to participate with designated speakers. Masks and Social Distancing Required."

• Mayor O'Leary has not responded to our ask for transparency on his position, steps taken, and steps moving forward. Once again, this is dismissive. 
• There is a counter-petition being shared online. Do not be discouraged. We respect the Italian community- I encourage only peace. BUT we are diverse, we are local, we have lived experience of colonization's invisible hand.
