We received a few different emails from the several Councilors that represent the different wards where the Plaza connects Park Street, Watchung Plaza and Watchung Avenue.

Summarizing, there were two communicated phases to address this dangerous intersection issue:

1.The first phase would be to update the traffic flow for Watchung Plaza to be RIGHT HAND TURN only. (Watchung Plaza is the small street adjacent to the bagel store). This proposed update will be presented and hopefully approved during the April 5th Council Meeting. If approved, the plans for updating signage and implementing the new traffic flow would be put into motion. Note, I will be attending the video conference meeting and encourage you to mark the date and be present as well.

2. The Township is collaborating with the County for a broader traffic study. On this phase, proposed dates as well as any details for the study were not included. I intend to press for this information during the April 5th meeting.
