The Issue
Toddler gymnastic classes are designed to help young children develop coordination and improve their body awareness. This ongoing skill development and learning is facilitated through fun activities, using movement, music and laughter. Beginning at the toddler level, the children are encouraged to progress at their own pace, building confidence as they develop their skills and make new friends. Parental involvement is encouraged, at this level, to provide both physical and emotional support for the toddlers.
At first, gymnastics might seem a little challenging for your toddler, but it is very beneficial for their physical growth and development. Toddler gymnastic classes help children participate in a physical activity that focuses on developing their coordination and strength. These classes help toddlers gain an understanding of their bodies, through learning new movements. The classes begin at a very basic level and progress as the child improves their balance, motor skills and coordination. Toddlers that engages in gymnastics, are less likely to become overweight, as they develop good muscle strength at an early age.
Cavod Academy offers excellent toddler gymnastic classes. They are a fun and playful introduction to gymnastics. Students will learn basic tumbling skills in a creative environment. The Tumble Tots program These toddler classes are designed for developing the skills of children aged 12 months to 3 years. Children will improve skills such as, coordination, eye-tracking and motor. These developments are important for other activities like writing and reading. Toddlers will also be introduced to several social skills, which will significantly impact their maturity and learning in the future. They will learn how to share, follow instructions, wait for their turn and work with other children.
Once your toddler is walking confidently they will attempt a range of tasks on various pieces of equipment, aimed at improving their motor skills, particularly balance and co-ordination. Your child will also be introduced to nursery/body identification rhymes and action songs helping towards their language development. Parents are encouraged to participate in the classes, to support their child, while the child builds enough confidence to become independent with activities such as jumping, climbing and tumbling.
In the Tumble Tots class, the parents/cares accompany and support the child as they move through obstacles that develop strength, balance and co-ordination. This class is great for developing toddler’s core motor skills and learning the basics of gymnastics. New challenges are continually presented and there to keep the toddler self-motivated and gaining confidence.
