Hello everyone, thank you for your continued support of legislation that protects children online. As I mentioned in a previous update, legislation HAS been introduced in Washington State (House Bill 2032) that aims to protect the privacy of minors on monetized family social media accounts and afford financial compensation to these children. However, this legislation is specific to certain types of accounts rather than prohibiting the activity of this type of work in a family business. With that in mind, any future signatures of this petition will be understood to be in support of HB 2032.
