When I got out of prison It was very difficult to find a job, I love animals and working with them is therapeutic, I tried to volunteer at several animal shelters (even cleaning kennels) but because of my 1 felony (theft) I am not allowed to volunteer with animals because their volunteer program is run through the police station. I'm allowed to own my own pets but why can I volunteer if I want to still help the ones I can't save. It's discrimination since they don't care what or how old the felony is, but I can go apply to a job for a daycare and take care of children. 

Let us volunteer. Please. I only want to clean puppy poo..
