Sign to save 11 of Washington state's 90 ENDANGERED gray wolves!
The Issue
Wildlife officials in Washington state plan to eliminate an entire pack of endangered gray wolves after the animals began attacking livestock in the area. The group of wolves, named the Profanity Peak Pack contains 11 of 90 endangered gray wolves of Washington State. With two already killed, one being a breeding female, who knows if this culling of the species could cause a drastic and dangerous change.
Using tax payers money to kill off a portion of a already endangered species is baffling when all they are doing is killing easily found prey. The money gathered should be used to move the invading livestock from the pack's habitat; allowing them to have a safe environment away from our invasive development. Another option, that is not as desirable and has some concerns, would be to translocate the pack to another area or sanctuary in the state/another state that will take them. SIGN THE PETITON if you believe we should be working to save the species rather than kill more of them just because they injured a few cows.
