The slides from each floor of the library to a ball pit at the bottom of the building are important for the subsequent reasons:

1. Environmental preservation: Environmental savings and cost savings from electricity due to the reduced usage of the elevators
2. The "Study Happy Campaign": People would be happier when studying at the library as slides are known as a leisure instrument
3. Time efficiency: Quicker to descend via slides than with elevators + time savings from reduction of queues for elevators
4. University rankings and employability: Happier students will reflect in increased University performance in rankings which in turns will increase employability and future donations to university
5. Competitive advantage compared to other universities
