It was great seeing everyone who took the time to show up at the last meeting! Seeing so many concerned neighbors and community members in person sent a powerful, unmistakable message: we care deeply about protecting the Rocky Point gateway and our dwindling open space. 

Our collective turnout is what drives this fight forward, but the fight isn't over yet. We need to make sure our voices remain heard as this process continues. 

The State agencies like RI DEM and CRMC oversee coastal and wetland regulations, administrative reviews alone won't protect this land. And those agencies have been a big letdown protecting wetlands and open space. We need specialized guidance on  zoning ordinances and land-use law. (Photo shows the onsite stream at 445 Palmer Ave, which feeds directly into the Narragansett Bay watershed)

Does anyone know of an land-use attorney who might offer pro bono representation,  or reduced-rate advocacy? If you or someone in your family has legal connections, please reach out. That Lawyer at the Planning Board Meeting was an...oh never mind lol.  You know if you were there. :)
