Before I first saw King Arthur, I didn't know much about Charlie Hunnam. I knew a few vague things about him as an actor and even less about him as a person. After I watched the movie, with him in the lead role as Arthur, I was a fan. I thought his performance was incredible. I thought he brought exactly the right combination of everything that the role required and then managed to go beyond even that. He was the perfect mix with his witty humor, sarcastic comments, knight in shining armor persona and don't mess with me attitude. He managed to be relatable and down to earth while maintaining his strong position as the upcoming King. Brilliant. Charlie as an actor has won me over. After watching him in the film, I read and researched a little bit more about him as a person. It was very interesting to me to learn that Charlie Hunnam as an every day guy is not all that different than the role he played as King Arthur. Protective and defensive of women (in particular his girlfriend Morgana), witty and fun to be around, and down to earth and relatable (treating his fans with kindness and respect). Charlie as a person has won me over. My thoughts and feelings on Charlie Hunnam are quite obviously shared throughout the world by his adoring fans. To say that he has a massive fan base is an drastic understatement. He has pages and groups that span the globe and contain literally millions of immensely loyal, dedicated and supportive fans from many backgrounds, situations and circumstances. I am a firm believer that the astronomical number of Charlie's fans alone could justify and carry a continuation of the franchise. I want to give a huge thank you to the fans of Charlie, wherever you might be, that have helped so much in getting the petition to this point. Through posting my petition on your pages, sharing it with friends, posting in on your social media and spreading the word in conversations you have helped make a difference.
