Harry Potter fans have patiently waited, but it’s been long enough. It’s time for vegan Butterbeer to be sold at all Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands within the Universal theme parks.

After The Protego Foundation campaigned to make Butterbeer dairy-free and vegan, our supporters petitioned, successfully convincing Warner Bros. to make the compassionate decision to begin selling a dairy-free Butterbeer option.

Bottled Butterbeer is now available in the UK at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour, the Harry Potter Photographic Exhibition, the Harry Potter Shop at Platform 9 ¾, the Harry Potter shops in the Gatwick and Heathrow airports, and online. The bottles are also available in the US at Harry Potter New York.

Butterbeer on draft is available without the dairy topping at both the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London and Harry Potter New York, making the drink vegan. However, we have yet to see a vegan Butterbeer option at any of the Universal theme parks. Currently, the drink is not allowed to be sold at the parks without the dairy-based topping.

We are urging Universal Parks and Resorts to offer a fully vegan version of Butterbeer on draft - including a vegan topping!
