Demand for Wandsworth council to listen to Ashburton residents

Demand for Wandsworth council to listen to Ashburton residents
The Issue
We the undersigned are demanding that Wandsworth council listen to the residents concerns living on the Ashburton Estate. Residents have raised issues with the council with no success and now is the time for the council to improve things for the local community. We urge the council to listen to the views of residents for the following issues :
●Provide funding for Youth services- ensuring youth on the estate have the support they need for Mental health services and activities in the local area.
●Phone signal- Across the estate the signal is poor and people have to resort to standing outside to have a conversation. This simply is not on and the issue needs to be resolved immediately. Residents have been complaining throughout the pandemic.
●Cashpoint without charges on Tildesley Road- it is unfair residents across the Ashburton estate have to pay to withdraw there cash when other parts of West putney have access to free cash machines such as Dover House road and Upper Richmond Road
●Local supermarket. The estate still has no local supermarket meaning disabled people, pensioners and single parents have to leave the estate to use one. Every other ward has one it's unfortunate the same isn't here
●Fly Tipping- Residents are being blamed for the majority of fly tipping when in fact it is landlords guttering their properties for new tenants to move in. Witnessed by residents
●Lifts not fixed- The council needs to do better when fixing lifts some blocks are left for days without lifts being fixed making life difficult for vulnerable residents.
●Carslake and Tildesley Road rat run- Residents have been complaining for some time of the increase of cars before and during the covid pandemic. A crossing on Carslake road near Ark Academy is needed for Children's safety.
