Yum Yum is a high end independent Thai restaurant in Stoke Newington. It serves delicious authentic food made with high quality ingredients in a stylish setting. It incorporates one of the best and most affordable cocktail bars in London.

Yum Yum have put in a bid to open a similar branch in Walthamstow in the new cinema development on the arcade site. To date the council so far have refused to consider it as they are pursuing what they call the ‘top 30’ operators. While they have not specified who those ‘top 30’ are, its clear they are focused on big anonymous corporate chains.

After much pressure they have finally agreed to a meeting with us next week so we can state the business case.

It will help enormously if we can show resident demand for this bid. If you would like to see Yum Yum come to Walthamstow please show your support by signing your name. Let the council know we want independent local businesses with style and vision to come in to raise the quality bar and help make the night time economy in Walthamstow truly vibrant.
