The Issue
There is not enough affordable housing in Waltham!
2 in 5 Waltham renters live in unaffordable housing.
Currently, new developments in Waltham only have to set aside 10% of their units to have affordable rent.
Waltham City Councillor Robert Logan proposes to increase the affordable housing requirement to 15%. WATCH supports Councillor Logan’s proposal to amend Waltham’s inclusionary zoning law by increasing the required percentage of affordable new housing units from 10% to 15%.
