Release complete soundtracks for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones & Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
The Issue
We Star Wars and John Williams fans have been waiting patiently for complete releases of soundtracks for 'Attack of the Clones' and 'Revenge of the Sith' for over 10 years now. Special Edition soundtracks for 'A New Hope', 'The Empire Strikes Back' & 'Return of the Jedi' have already been released, as well as an Ultimate Edition soundtrack for 'The Phantom Menace'... but there still has yet to be any complete, or even expanded releases for Episodes 2 & 3. Sony Classical has been re-releasing the same albums for almost a decade now, and we the fans want to be able to finally listen to John Williams' scores, as they were intended to be. We do not want another rehash of the Episode 1 Ultimate Edition soundtrack, where all of the music was extracted from the film itself. We want a complete release of ALL of John Williams' music that was recorded for the films, not including the music that was reused from The Phantom Menace, or film-version remixes. Think of all the money that could be made from these scores. Fans have been begging for these two releases for a long time now; and now that a new company owns the music rights (Walt Disney Records), we are hoping that this will finally change.
For information of the track listings I am referring to, I will re-direct you to the Wookieepedia recording session cue-list entries below:
