This week Walmart announced that its pharmacies will refuse to fill initial prescriptions for severe pain that last longer than a week.  This policy, based on the myth of an epidemic of opioid abuse, amounts to a war on pain patients and will force even more of them into the black market to seek relief.

It's bad enough that the federal government is persecuting pain victims and the doctors who are willing to help them.  Walmart should not be helping in that misguided effort.
