Sustainable Production of Cotton T-Shirts

Walmart is guilty of using unethically sourced cotton to make their t-shirts. They are an international cooperation largely at fault for the global pandemic of forced and child labour. The environment has been a casualty of their unsustainably large supply chain for too long. The biosphere is being destroyed by the use of toxic pesticides and industrial pollution. As consumers, we are contributing to this global crisis if we do not educate ourself about ethical cotton. Research your products. Buy fair trade and organic cotton. Recycle old t-shirts. Wash less and air-dry more. Every time we put down our money, it is an opportunity to cast a vote for fair labor, sustainable agricultural practices, and safer products. This is how we will push Walmart to start doing business with suppliers who are members of the Better Cotton Initiative, an organization inciting real change in the cotton industry by educating farmers about sustainable agriculture and advocating for ethically cultivated and ethically produced cotton products, on every level of the supply chain.
