This petition is to demonstrate to Wagga Wagga City Council that Wagga Wagga needs Lake Albert and that it is now time to complete action to fix it.

Lake Albert is currently unusable and may soon be an environmental concern.

Wagga has had enough, we are requesting action to it fix the problem quickly.

The Wagga business community is losing a great deal of money as sportspeople are traveling to other towns and locations for their aquatic activities and sports.  

Yes, we are in a drought, but this is a golden opportunity to complete councils current  proposal to inject additional water into Lake Albert, before it becomes an environmental concern.

Wagga has been identified by the NSW state government as an inland growth centre, expected to grow to over 100,000 by 2030.  

When Wagga’s seasonal conditions are not favourable, having its unique aquatic asset (Lake Albert) unusable is unacceptable.

We request that the Lake is fixed without delay
