Guten Abend, liebe Teilnehmer/-innen!
Bevor ich diese Petition Ende der Woche schließe, möchte ich Euch informieren, dass ich unsere Unterschriftenliste heute an die jeweiligen Botschafter in Berlin mit einem Anschreiben gesandt habe (falls es jemanden interessiert, unten der Text).
Auch wenn uns allen bewusst ist, dass wir kaum das Weltgeschehen beeinflussen können, wollen wir hoffen, dass unsere Stimmen zumindest zur Kenntnis genommen werden und zum Besinnen anregen.
Und vielleicht bahnen sie ja, zusammen mit anderen Schritten, einen baldigen Waffenstillstand.

Good evening, dear participants!
before I close this petition in the end of this week, I want to inform you that today I sent the list of signatures with a short text (see below) to both Ambassadors in Berlin.
We are all aware that we hardly will influence the affairs of the world but nevertheless we hope that our voices are at least heard and contribute to reconsider the situation.
And maybe they even pave the way, together with other developments, for a ceasefire.

may I address you today in an important issue and ask you politely for your attention.
As a German citizen I started a petition to appeal to the leaders of Russia and Ukraine to call for a ceasefire during the Christian-Orthodox Easter, April 16.
You may call this naive, but certainly you agree that we want to save lives of the young men, on both sides - each life is holy, each life is of equal worth in front of God.
I am a doctor in Oncology and see too many young people dying an unavoidable death, you both can start to save your sons from an avoidable death in this war!
Attached the list with the signatures, please, accept it as a small but strong sign that we don't give up our hope for peace and reconciliation.
Easter - the victory of Life over Death!
I wish you and your families and all your fellow citizens to feel and act in this spirit of Easter.
