Washington Martial Arts Supporters, Things don't look good folks... We truly, truly need one more phone call and email and we think that's it...we're so sorry this battle has dragged on and on. For martial arts to have even been part of a state partisan political battle is heart-wrenching for us all. We received sad news late yesterday that our bill had not been passed as part of the budget agreement and that there is little chance the Senate will give it a vote. We get conflicting information everywhere we turn but we've been told Republican Senate leadership is the ONLY hope for us and chances are slim they'll stand up for us. There IS A REAL POSSIBILITY we can still win but calling and emailing your Representatives and Senators AGAIN is the ONLY path forward. This isn't about us as individuals. PLEASE don't allow apathy to set in. This is the last chance for lots of kids, participants and businesses. By the time 2017 rolls around the state will never want to give the money back. Republican Senators in Eastern Washington are still top priority but your two Representatives and your Senator should be contacted both by phone and email. I've heard that the bill to restore fair and equal treatment for martial arts was not passed. I'm outraged. Given the facts how can this be? I believe this is a horrible mistake and I'm asking you to find a way to get this done. I'm told it CAN still be passed as a bill AND as an amendment to the budget.
