Hello Everyone,
Sadly it looks like our voices have not been heard and we are at our last chance to oppose this. HB5511 has passed the House and moved to the Senate. Governor Pritzker has been calling for this to be passed into law so we know he will not veto it, which means that if it is going to be stopped then it needs to happen here. The senate resumes session tomorrow 4/28 which means this is our last chance to contact our representatives. This is yet another bill using child safety as a shield so we need to explain to them what is actually being done here. They amended the bill to clarify some things, and added an option to not have your child's age shared, and your age as the adult will be shared instead. This may seem like a win but it requires a PAID family account from the operating system. I highly recommend that you do your own research on the new bill and make up your own minds about it. Whatever you decide, this is most likely our last chance to stop this so everyone contact your representatives as soon as possible.
