Love our Volkswagen Golf Rs!  We bought them because we loved the combination of performance, features and finish the cars provide.

One glaring oversight mares our appreciation of the R however.  More importantly, Volkswagen's approach to the issue underlines how they deal with customer concerns.  They don't!

Volkswagen chose not to include a software feature called Performance Monitoring on the R.  Instead of providing it on their flagship performance vehicle, the R, they only put it on the GTI (a lesser model).  They have provided us with a trainer on driving economically instead.

Instead of correcting this oversight with a software patch, or explaining the situation in any detail, Volkswagen has chosen to give a generic corporate response of "not available on your model".  We have tried to speak to people at Volkswagen who understand the issue but these technical people are not allowed to speak to customers.

Volkswagen - please address this glaring oversight by providing the required software patch.
