Barstow was honored by the presence of Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh not for a photo op, not for a scripted handshake, but for something far more meaningful: her time, her attention, and her compassion.

She drove herself to our city. She stood with us at our 9/11 remembrance event. And after the ceremony, she didn’t rush off she stayed. She walked with me, the mayor, and our cemetery manager through Mt. View Cemetery, saw the conditions firsthand, and listened. No empty promises. Just concern, care, and a commitment to further conversations.

That’s what leadership looks like.

Senator Ochoa Bogh surrounds herself with people who reflect her values people like Emily, who care deeply about community. This Senator doesn’t put politics first. She puts people first. She’s respectful, grounded, and her staff shares the same heart for service.
