I just submitted to Toronto City Council the final details of our petition began in reaction to the raising of the Palestinian flag at Toronto City Hall on November 17, 2025.

In summary:

28,088 individuals signed the petition:

•  24,388 Canadians
• 2,769 Americans
• 526 Israelis
• 225 from the UK, Europe & the Commonwealth
• 180 from other countries

·    373,310 people viewed the petition

·    1,325 people promoted the petition, raising $22,309 in the process.

The petition was amended after November 17 to encourage City Council to debate policies related to use of our public spaces and the broader immigration-related issues that plague our city.

My most consistent supporter (Councillor James Pasternack) has recently posted on “X” (Twitter) about the consistent harassment and hate-based attacks within our community that continue without any Council reaction. He and his staff are now representing the 28,000+ individuals who are demanding a fulsome and meaningful debate on these matters.

Toronto City Council will meet on December 16, 17 & 18...and your petition will be on the agenda!
