BUSHFIELD PLANNING APPLICATION - MAKE YOUR COMMENT/OBJECTION BY 7TH DECEMBER

You've signed but right now Bushfield needs you to register your concerns/objections on the Winchester City Council planning portal here:
The deadline is next week, 7th December 2023.
380+ objections have now been made on the Bushfield Camp planning application, among them is Dr Kim Wilkie, world-class landscape architect.
.
His comments here:
'1. Bushfield Camp is part of the critical downland rim that surrounds Winchester and forms the historic setting of the city. Despite my comments during consultation, not a single plan (not even the heights parameter plan) shows the contours of the site and its relationship to the wider landscape. The damage to the South Downs, St Cross and Winchester itself would be considerable.
2. When so much of the centre of Winchester is in need of redevelopment and revitalisation, I cannot see how out-of-town employment in open countryside helps the future of the city. This kind of development goes against all the principles of responsible and sustainable urban growth.
3. The proposed layout is arbitrary and clumsy. It does not respond to the flow of the land or the wider setting.'

You should comment specifically on the planning application & how it will affect you, your community & whether it fits with our local plan for Bushfield.
