BUSHFIELD PLANNING APPLICATION NOW SUBMITTED - IS IT APPROPRIATE? MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

The planning application has now been received by Winchester City Council for development at Bushfield for employment use.

It is billed as 'ONE of the biggest planning applications in Winchester's history' by The Hampshire Chronicle.

Following concerns raised by some of our local representatives regarding the very quick time frame for such a significant application, Winchester City Council has granted an extension of 9 days on its statutory public consultation.

The deadline is now set at Thursday 7th December 2023. 

If you have signed our petition, or support our campaign, please submit your views directly to Winchester City Council.

NOW is the time.

This MUST be done by 7th December 2023 for your comments to be accepted for consideration by the council.

We will be submitting our own objection with the following questions in mind:

• Is this planning application appropriate for Bushfield, within the Winchester District, as laid out in our current Local Plan WT3?
• Does it follow the 'comprehensive,conservation led approach...required for the site' ?
• Does it 'reflect other policy statements prepared by the Council '?
• Has the application resulted 'from assessing the needs of the town and community views'?
• Does it 'deliver necessary social, economic or environmental
  development which could not otherwise be accommodated
  within or around Winchester, does not compete or detract
  from the town centre'?
